In late 2017 Pulse was contacted with a request by a company to implement level measurement devices for use in reservoirs. This project was based in East Rand, Johannesburg and involved Pulse analysing their requirements to allow for optimal service. In doing so, we suggested the Sitrans LUT 420 level controller accompanied by the Echomax XRS-5/ XPS-10 Transducers. This combination has been used fantastically for similar purposes in the past and we knew it would do the same here.
The success of these products has often occurred due to its advanced echo processing and quick commissioning menu, meaning that setting up this unit can be completed within a few minutes. We had used these instruments previously on smaller projects with the organisation. Because of this reliability, the client was happy to use them. The products were delivered in September of 2017, concluding phase 1 of the project. The project is currently half way complete, with Phase 2 commencing later this year.
